Since 2023, when PEG foregrounded diversity and inclusion (D&I) in its identity and practice, it assumed that ‘equity’ governs practices and principles in the legal and financial sectors, for example, and was not as pertinent in on context (being a largely volunteer-led organization). Equity was therefore deliberately not included it in any of our official PEG D&I statements. However, the exclusion of this dimension has been questioned.
