PEG’s 30th ANNIVERSARY CONFERENCE

31 May–1 June 2023

We’re delighted to announce that, in celebration of 30 years of promoting excellence in editing, the Professional Editors’ Guild (PEG) will be staging an online conference in May-June this year.

This stellar event in the world of publishing, editing, writing and proofreading will be headlined with the overarching theme, ‘Professional Editing in the Digital Age’.

From a small informal group of editors intent on exchanging ideas about matters editorial, linguistic and stylistic, PEG has gone from strength to strength over three decades, with many achievements to celebrate, all in the service of its members.

An online conference with something for everyone, including networking opportunities

The online programme will run from the afternoon of Wednesday, 31 May and throughout the day on Thursday, 1 June 2023. It will include many virtual networking and social opportunities, including post-conference activities in the evenings.

The many challenges inherent in editing and proofreading in a digital age have given rise to a plethora of practical and imaginative solutions. Are you a language practitioner intent on developing and refining your craft in one way or another, or seeking solutions to operational challenges from those in the know who have been there, done it? Then you’re sure to be stimulated and energised by the combined wisdom of our presenters drawn from South Africa and internationally.
