AI (artificial intelligence) has become an all-too-frequent topic of concern among language practitioners. Join PEG to deliberate on what AI means for copy editors when considering author’s voice and the copy-editor’s scope.

About the webinar
Let’s unravel the copy editor’s conundrum. This webinar will take us through what author’s voice is and how to work with it as copy editors. We will explore the term ‘AI’ a little more specifically in order to understand its ‘voice’ and place in the language practice arena. Finally, we’ll look at what copy editors can do to manage these variable ‘voices’ in texts so that we are freed from the frustration and fear that AI seems to evoke. This webinar will be presented, in part, with prepared input and, in part, as a facilitated discussion. By the end of this webinar we should have more clarity on how we wish to tackle the digital world in which we find ourselves and the copy we are asked to edit.
