Welcome!

PEG’s 30th ANNIVERSARY CONFERENCE
31 May and 1 June 2023
All times are South African (UTC+2:00), which is aligned with Paris.
To read a particular presenter’s abstract and bio, click on their presentation title.
We’re delighted to share our 30th Anniversary Conference programme with you here. It features a stellar cast of presenters from around the globe, all of whom are more than willing to share their experience, expertise and knowledge garnered by operating as editors of various kinds, proofreaders, (copy)writers, translators, training consultants, publishers, teachers … some of them wearing a number of these hats! Once you have the programme displayed, you’ll be able to find out more about the presenters and their topics.
The online programme will run from 14:00 on the afternoon of Wednesday, 31 May and throughout the day on Thursday, 1 June 2023. It will include many virtual networking and social opportunities, including post-conference activities in the evenings.
We are also happy to announce that registration for the conference is now open – and it’s as easy as clicking through to this Registration page. If your society has a reciprocal associate relationship with the Professional Editors’ Guild, then be sure to enter your society’s discount code before pressing Register.
We look forward to meeting you and mingling with you at this event, which celebrates an important milestone in the annals of language practice in South Africa and beyond.
