Journals and institutions in the field of science\, technology\, engineering and mathematics often insist that their authors and students use it\, claiming that it is easier to use than Microsoft Word. But their work still needs editing. \nThese webinars introduce the LaTeX screens and terminology so that you can see past the computer language to the text that needs to be edited in the usual way. \nAbout our facilitator \nAnne did a 6-week online course on LaTeX so she could edit a master’s thesis on AI for the daughter of a friend. The daughter introduced her to Overleaf’s overlay so they could collaborate on the LaTeX document\, tracking changes and sharing comments. Anne found it fascinating to work in the LaTeX environment and has taken on several other LaTeX projects since then. The STEM side of it she leaves to the clients\, but the grammar and punctuation\, logic and flow still need her editing skills. \n  \nCost \n\n\n\nAffiliation \n\nEarly-bird registration fee1 \n\nFULL Registration fee (one webinar) 2 \n\nTWO-PART SERIES \nEarly-bird registration fee (see information below)4\n\n\nPEG members\nR295\n\nR380\n\nR500\n\n\n\nMembers of affiliate organisations3\nR400\n\nR500\n\n–\n\n\n\nNon-affiliated members\nR500\n\nR600\n\n–\n\n\n\n\n1 Early-bird registration fee: Before or on Wednesday\, 22 July 2026 for Webinar 1.
